Prior to co-founding Compass Executives, Don spent 40 years as financial executive, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer with several privately owned companies in Nashville.  He retired as CEO of Rogers Group, Inc., a family owned construction and construction materials company which operated in six states and recently celebrated 110 years as a family owned company. 

As a Managing Director of Compass, he has executive coaching assignments in a manufacturing company, a real estate development company, an engineering firm, a health care company, a billion dollar construction materials company in North Dakota, an office construction firm and several non-profits.  He has assisted in the forming of advisory boards for a contract energy bar manufacturer and a public relations company.  He has also served on the boards of those companies as well as for a national mechanical contractor located in Irvine, CA. 

He has also served on the board of several local nonprofits, including being currently on the board of Nashville Public Radio and LEAD public schools.  Don has a BA and an MBA from the University of Washington.
